We have a dressed stone chapel built in 1888 a short distance from the village. The seating capacity is for 60 to 70 people. There is no electricity, which adds to the charm, however you are welcome to supply your own generator for any electrical needs you may have.
We have a beautiful and large deck overlooking the surrounding hills which is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies. The deck is under roof, has clear drop down sides for the colder windy days and can seat up to 100 people.
Weddings are accommodated in the Ramble Restaurant Dining Hall. The seating capacity is up to 100 people in comfort. The Dining Hall comes complete with rectangular wooden tables and chairs, crockery, cutlery, glasses and white or cream table cloths. Our Dining Hall has a large undercover deck often used for the wedding ceremony and later the dance floor, We also have a pub area with access from the dining room and the deck.
A selection of wine is available and specific requests are most welcome. In the event that you supply your own wines a corkage fee of R20.00 per bottle will be applicable. We are fully licenced and no other alcoholic or non- alcoholic beverages will be permitted on the premises of the Ramble Restaurant.

Where are we?
We are situated halfway between Stutterheim and Cathcart, about an hour and 20 minutes drive from East London.
If you are traveling from East London, travel straight along the N6. Travel through Stutterheim and at approximately 25km turn left at the “Old Thomas River” road sign. Travel straight on the gravel road for about 4km. The road forks, keep left, you are in the Thomas River Historical Village.
